25 REASONS NOT TO GIVE UP

1. God loves me. I John 4:10This is real love. It is not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.2. My sins are definitely forgiven. Eph. 1:7 He is so rich in kindness that He purchased our freedom through the blood of His Son... [READ MORE]

FORGIVEN
April 27, 2013

Yes it’s been one of those weeks. It has been a week where it seems that around each corner the Father drops the subject of FORGIVENESS at my feet. By this I mean “the wrongs that I have done to others and the wrongs that have been done to me” […] [READ MORE]

FELLOW SHIP
March 1, 2013

Mrs. Miller started her Sunday School class as usual, with a question to get the 5 and 6 year old children in her class thinking. “Boy and girls, what does the word ‘fellowship’ mean?” she inquired. Mrs. Miller was going to teach her “crew,” as she called them, about the […] [READ MORE]

REASON TO CELEBRATE
December 16, 2012

REASON TO CELEBRATE There sure is a lot of celebrating going on this time of year (December) that has little or nothing to do with Christ. In fact some even choose not to celebrate at all. Among them are some atheists, Jehovah's witnesses and some Christians. I frankly understand their reasoning […] [READ MORE]

THE PROBLEM WITH THE CHURCH
December 12, 2012

THE PROBLEM WITH THE CHURCHTo those who are the authentic disciples/followers of Jesus Christ. It is relatively easy to be or become critical of the church. THE GREAT DIVIDE
August 11, 2012

THE GREAT DIVIDE Proverbs 4:23 (ICB)   Be very careful about what you think. Your thoughts run your life. Proverbs 15:1 (NIV)   A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. There is no doubt; conflict is something most of us would prefer to be free from in our lives […] [READ MORE]

MUSCLE UP YOUR FAITH

James 1:1-3 (NIV)
1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes scattered among the nations: Greetings. 2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.

I was chatting the other day with a group of men from our church. The subject turned to faith, not as an idea or theological concept- but faith in a practical everyday application sense. [READ MORE]

A Biblical Gospel
May 16, 2011
Unfortunately it seems that, especially here in America, we have confused the Biblical Gospel with the American dream.
James Truslow Adams coined the phrase the American Dream in 1931 and defined it this way: "Life should be better and richer and fuller for everyone, with opportunity for each according to ability or achievement, regardless of social class or circumstances of birth." [READ MORE]

Have you noticed the growing list of things, that once they start to develop some problems, or stop working that it's cheaper and simpler just to trash them and buy new ones? TV's, cell phones, computers have all made this list. But so have marriages, friendships and churches. Problems? No problem, trash it, get another one and move on.

What does it take to be a church that stays the course? How do we have marriages and relationships that stay the course?  [READ MORE]
